Yana is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides comprehensive developmental and diagnostic assessments of young children at JFCS’ Parents Place. She has extensive experience and training in psychotherapy with children and adults as well as in several specialty areas, including sexual abuse treatment and infant-parent psychotherapy. Dr. Peleg is a certified DIR®/Floortime™ trainer. DIR®/Floortime™ is an approach to treatment of children with social, emotional, and developmental difficulties that focuses on building healthy foundations for these capacities rather than on skills and isolated behaviors. Previous to her work at Parents Place, she was a staff psychologist at the Children’s Health Council; she also coordinated programs at the Bill Wilson Center and the San Jose Family Shelter. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology.
