Children with Special Needs Drop-in Play (birth - 5 years) - Second SUNDAY of the month (April) - Bring your children with special needs and their siblings under 5 years old to enjoy our beautiful playroom in a supportive and inclusive environment. Parents can visit with and support each other. The Parents Place expert staff will facilitate the play, lend support and answer questions. Facilitators may include our child psychologist and occupational therapist, in a rotation with our expert parent educators.
Spring drop-in dates are 4/14, 5/19 (no class on Mother's Day) & 6/9.

Twin Drop-in Play, Second Friday of the month, 9:30 - 11:00 am (birth - 5 years) - Bring your twins (and other siblings) and meet other families with multiples. Share and discuss tips for raising multiples.

Bedtime Blues – Solving Your Child’s Sleep Issues (1 – 5 years) (May) - There is nothing more invigorating than a good night's sleep for parents and children—and nothing more frustrating than not getting it! Sleep issues can include difficulty falling asleep, waking up multiple times during the night, attempts at giving up the nap, limited parental sleep, and disagreements between parents about methods to encourage healthy sleep habits. Come and resolve your concerns.

They’re Driving Me Crazy! Parent Anger (3 – 8 years) Thursday (May) - During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to analyze your anger toward your child. We'll explore what triggers your anger and your positive and negative responses to it, and we will investigate productive management techniques to help you when triggers arise in the future.

For Dads Only – The Joys and Challenges of Raising Daughters (all ages) (June) - Research shows that a close relationship with their father—or another positive adult male—is crucial to girls’ healthy development. We will discuss the many ways dads model for and guide their daughters, provide information about child development, and suggest father-daughter activities that can help men increase their knowledge and satisfaction in their role as fathers.

Digital Elementary School Kids: Safe, Smart and Responsible (grades 1st - 5th) (June) - Children are using digital technology and accessing the internet at younger and younger ages. This training will give parents an understanding of the developmental needs of elementary school children as they relate to safe and healthy media use. You will learn how children are using digital technology, the opportunities and challenges of this technology, and its impact on children’s development. You will be given tools for teaching your children to become safe, smart and responsible media users and creators.
