Parents Place Partners with Digital Parent to Offer More Online Parenting Education

father and son with laptopParents Place and Digital Parent, a new online service for parent education, have announced a strategic partnership to expand access to high-quality education and support services for parents.

Digital Parent (www.digitalparent.com) offers parents a wide selection of online parenting classes, tools for tracking child development, and the ability to discuss questions and challenges directly with leading parenting experts through an “Expert Forum.” The service, available for a low quarterly or annual membership fee, is initially targeted at parents of children ages 0 – 6.

Working with Digital Parent, Parents Place can now offer online access to many of these services and leverage Internet technology to tailor content to parents’ needs.

“We have been at the forefront of creating exceptional programs and services for parents and children,” says JFCS Executive Director Anita Friedman, “establishing Parents Place in 1982 as one of the first full-service family resource centers in the country. Our partnership with Digital Parent is an extension of that early innovation. Our families will benefit from a new method of accessing important family resources through a rich online experience.”

“We are thrilled to be working with Parents Place,” says Alex Terman, CEO of Digital Parent. “Our partnership represents an exciting opportunity to offer expanded access to the very highest quality parent education and support services. Members of Digital Parent will benefit greatly from the expert advice and rich content offered by Parents Place and its staff.”
